2nd Contemporary Visions Festival 2014 - Day One Florence Vienna Showcase International Art Fair 2013 Tribute to Books and all stories living in them - Mixed media on canvas 40x70cm Debut Contemporary 2014 - Timeless

London, December 2014

Debut Contemporary is proud to present a group exhibition ‘Human Suffering at Times of Crisis Part II – When Boys Become Men’, hosting the VIP Private View on Wednesday , 3rd December 2014, from 7.30-9.30 pm in support of Harrison’s Fund and in fight against Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

The exhibition is co- curated by well-known British artist Barry Martin and Debut artist Klara Taussig Cecmanova whose 2 boys, Theo and Oskar, have recently been diagnose with Duchenne.

30 Debut artists have answered the brief set by Barry Martin and Nick Taussig with some extraordinary works to be featured in this extraordinary and very meaningful art exhibition where art showcase power to fight on and bear the evil.

20% from each sold artwork will go towards the select charity, Harrison’s Fund, which is named after eight year old Harrison Smith from Surrey who was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a fatal genetic condition which affects the muscles, causing muscle weakness. The charity’s goal is to get as much money as possible into the hands of the world’s best researchers, who are working to find a cure for Duchenne.

30 Debut artists will continue developing a solid body of work outside of the upcoming exhibition and from every sold artwork, 20% will go to Harrison’s Fund throughout 2015 and beyond.

Debut Contemporary has nominated Harrison’s Fund as its chosen charity of the year for 2015 and Harrison’s Fund’s logo will be displayed on the gallery’s front window on Westbourne Grove, Notting Hill for the whole year.
